IS THIS THE MOST SUMPTUOUS YACHT IN THE SEA?

Kelly Hoppen’s latest interior for Pearl Yachts ensures the Pearl 95 is a luxuriously refined home from home.

With over 40 years of design experience under her immaculately synched belt, British designer Kelly Hoppen has become synonymous with a sleek signature style that fuses the Eastern principles of simplicity and balance with sumptuous finishes. In an age when look-at-me interiors and Instagram ‘moments’ have become le dernier cri, Hoppen’s refined good taste looks curiously fresh.

The handsome 29 metre Pearl 95 continues the fruitful collaboration between Hoppen and naval architect Bill Dixon for British boat-builder Pearl Yachts. Luxurious tactile materials such as marble, teak, ceramic and linen abound in the interior, which is quintessentially Hoppen. “For me, space and open living are key on yachts,” she says. “All the joinery is hand designed and I layered the materials in a unique way to create depth and beauty.”

The owner’s cabin is located forward on the main deck and features a full beam design maximizing space and creating a class-leading cabin. The main saloon is similarly vast with space for a capacious L-shaped sofa and a dining table for eight. Floor-to-ceiling glazed patio doors (automatic, naturally) on three sides of the saloon can be opened up to make the most of the life aquatic.

On the lower deck, there are two double cabins and two twin cabins, and there’s the option to specify walk-in wardrobes and a large bathroom in place of one of the double cabins to create a sumptuous suite. Decisions, decisions.
